What is the method of tundish dry material construction?

The tundish dry vibrating material is an unshaped refractory product formed by a vibration method without adding water or liquid binder. Under the action of vibration, the material can form a dense and uniform whole, and the strength is produced by thermosetting binder or ceramic sintering agent when heated.

(1) Firstly, the orifice block of the tundish is installed to ensure that the upper plane is on the same plane, then pour the dry material evenly to the bottom of the tundish, and beat it tightly around the pocket block. The bottom material is smashed layer by layer or using flat plate vibration. The material construction height requirement is slightly higher than the upper surface of the water block brick, which is beneficial to the full contact between the tire mold and the bottom material.

(2) After the bottom of the package is completed, the tire mold is placed in the tundish. When the mold is placed, the thickness of the gap between the two sides of the tire mold and the permanent layer should be kept the same.

(3) Pour the dry material evenly along different positions on the side wall, and use the vibrating rod to drag around the tire mold on the one side to make the dry material fully exhausted to reduce the segregation of the material during the vibration of the tire mold.

(4) Apply layer by layer construction until the dry material fills the entire gap and allows the dry material height to be higher than the permanent layer height.

(5) Start the vibration motor in the tire mold, the vibration time is 5~10s, then use the auxiliary manual vibration motor to vibrate one circle along the tundish.

(6) Add dry material to fill the gap left by vibration and fully compact or tamp the top dry material.

(7) Ignite the burner in the tire mold for heating, the temperature of the tire mold is controlled between 200~300 ℃, and the heating time is 1~2h, so that the low temperature binder in the dry material can be fully cured.

(8) After the tire mold is cooled, the tire mold is pulled up by driving, and the working lining is prevented from being damaged when the mold is removed.

(9) Before using, bake directly on high heat for about 1 hour, and use it when it reaches 1000 ℃or above.
